Sitting just North-East of Bromley, the town of Eltham is home to large array of greenspace, from Eltham Palace to Severndog Castle, with many shops and restaurants to be found too.
Eltham Palace has a rich history, with passed monarch Henry VIII spending much of his childhood at the palace. Popular royal Netflix drama, The Crown, has also been filmed there too, as well as it being listed on English Heritage’s list of ‘Most Haunted Places’ with many reported ghost sightings! Unlikely to get a call for a locksmith from a ghost to be fair!
As with most areas in the South East of London, Eltham is not served by London Underground, but it is well connected in terms of rail, road and bus. With trains to Charing Cross and London terminus alike in under 30 minutes and bus services covering Beckenham, Bexleyheath, Bromley and many more – all in all, a very convenient place to live!
